Core values
A quick chat with Martin about how he works and what drives him.
Data transparency · Innovation · Love of sport
What made you want to cover sports professionally?
“I grew up watching weekend football with my father, trying to predict scores before kickoff. That curiosity never left. Turning it into a career was just a matter of following the numbers everyone else was ignoring.”
What value do you refuse to compromise on?
“Data transparency. Every pick I publish cites the stats behind it. Readers deserve to see the reasoning, not just the prediction.”
How do you stay ahead in betting analysis?
“The industry is drowning in noise. I look for edges where the models disagree with the public — xG, pace, home-field variance, referee tendencies. Anything the casual bettor under-weights.”
Football, basketball, hockey, tennis — is there one you love most?
“Football, always. But tennis taught me discipline — one player, no excuses. It made me a sharper analyst across every sport.”
What is the most common mistake you see bettors make?
“Chasing last week's result. The market has already priced it in. The edge is always in what's coming next.”
